A Charlotte smoothie shop is expanding early next year at Strawberry Hill
A new shop to stop and savor a smoothie or Acai bowl is planned for the Foxcroft area near SouthPark early next year.
When Smooth Monkey joins the Strawberry Hill Shopping Center in a 1,298-square-foot space in January, it will become the locally owned brand’s second store in Charlotte. The original location, located on Commonwealth Avenue in Plaza Midwood, opened in 2019.
Smooth Monkey prides itself on not using ice, syrups or sugar in its products. The menu includes a variety of Acai bowls with choices such as the Berry Berry Bowl, a banana-Acai base topped with granola, sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and hemp seeds.
Smoothies on the menu include Banana Chocolate with bananas, caco or Nutella and the milk of your choice, and Orange You Glad! with orange, banana, pineapple, orange juice and pineapple juice.
