By springtime, visitors to Camp North End can look forward to hand-cut noodles, farm-to-table fare and gourmet desserts.

Bow Ramen, Bleu Barn Bistro and Wentworth & Fenn are expected to open in March 2020. The stalls will be outdoors — with heaters, shade and community tables.

“By curating a mix of culinary talent at Camp North End, we are creating a dynamic dining destination in Charlotte’s burgeoning North End,” said Damon Hemmerdinger, co-president of ATCO Properties & Management, in a statement.

New York City-based Bow Ramen will serve Nagahama-style noodles. Nagahama ramen was developed in Fukuoka, Japan. The soup, made from pork bone and cooked over high heat for additional flavor, is served with ultra-thin noodles.

Bleu Barn Bistro is a food truck creating its first Charlotte brick-and-mortar spot at Camp North End. The farm-to-table cuisine will include a seasonal menu of grab-and-go breakfast items, sandwiches, tacos, salads, specials, appetizers and sides.

Wentworth & Fenn’s Camp North End space will be utilized mainly for production and tastings for clients. An eventual retail presence will offer custom cakes, pastries, and baked goods. Wentworth & Fenn was founded by a former executive pastry chef for The Fig Tree restaurant, Samantha Allen, and her business partner, Cassie Allen

With these new additions, Camp North End will now have eight dining establishments. The food stalls will join future neighbors Leah & Louise and Free Range Brewing. Both restaurants have set target opening dates of March 2020. Already open are Birch Fine Tea, Chop & Chisel and Hex Coffee Roasters.

Camp North End is surrounded by longtime neighborhoods Druid Hills, Greenville, Lockwood, McCrorey Heights, Double Oaks, Oaklawn and more. Brightwalk is one of the newer neighborhoods, built several years ago across from Camp North End’s front entrance. Yet, neighbors have few walkable dining options.

Camp North End is actively working to change that.

“People over here bring restaurants, restaurants bring businesses, businesses bring people to live and then you bring grocery stores — and all these other retail shops and people in the neighborhood will be able to come and get things they need,” Subrina Collier, co-owner of Leah & Louise, told CharlotteFive in July. “That’s the top one reason I’m over here,” she said about Camp North End.
