Popular uptown rooftop lounge Merchant & Trade has reopened during COVID-19 to welcome patrons for socially distanced drinking, dining and entertainment. The bar, which sits on the 19th floor of the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, promises new levels of cleanliness for visitors.

Aside from enhancing existing safety and cleanliness standards, Merchant and Trade is placing special attention on food preparation and service. Social distancing is required, and will be supported by a limited number of guests at each table, which will be spaced at least 6 feet apart.

While you won’t be able to sit at the bar or at communal tables, you will be able to enjoy the expansive outdoor space overlooking the Charlotte skyline. Reservations are required.

Menu offerings will be scaled back to accommodate new COVID-19 procedures, but you can still get favorite snacks and sandwiches like Tuna Poke and the Shrimp Po-Boy, as well as draft beer, wine and housemade cocktails. Look for summer-inspired offerings like the Wind Chill (Cazadores Blanco tequila, orange juice, cinnamon, morita chili, cucumber) or the Royal Pines (gin, Dolin Blanc, pineapple, lemon, rosemary).
