For your next Taco Tuesday: There’s an award-winning seasoning place in Charlotte
The N.C. Specialty Foods Association recently announced the winners of its 2021 product competition, and the runner up in the pantry category is a Charlotte seasoning company.
Put this in the category of things to remember for your next Taco Tuesday.
Flavor Seed was born 20 years ago, when owner Adam Jenkins’ father had an idea to start a spice company based on some old family recipes. As with many great ideas, it was put on pause for a bit — until 2016, when Jenkins was laid off from his corporate job with General Electric Company. That’s when Flavor Seed officially began.
Today, you can purchase the spice collections online. Visit Flavor Seed’s website and peruse by the blends, the types of foods you’re seasoning (beef, pork, poultry, vegetables, seafood, lamb and wild game), or even by diet (Whole 30, keto, paleo, vegetarian and vegan).
All of the spices are:
- USDA certified organic
- Certified kosher
- Gluten free
- Filler free
- Preservative free
- contain no known allergenic ingredients.
