Sexy snowflakes: Check out Sycamore Brewing’s naughty Christmas beer cans for 2021
There’s been bondage, reindeer in various sexual positions and this year Sycamore Brewing is making a splash with its Barrel Aged Christmas Cookie Winter Ale can, featuring uh-hum … “toy” snowflakes.
The release has been known to spark controversy in the past, resulting in the cans being pulled in 2019 because of risqué reindeer. Last year brought gingerbread men “having a jolly time and engaging in some fun stay-at-home Christmas festivities.” And this year, the naughty brewery was hard at work carefully positioning strap-ons and other unmentionables so they appear to double as snowflakes.
The can reads, “Well jingle my bells and stuff my stocking … a special edition of Christmas Cookie Winter Ale! Hold on to your sugarplums — this barrel aged goodness is headed down the chimney.”
The newly launched Barrel Aged Christmas Cookie Winter Ale will be available in 4-packs starting at noon on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Sycamore Brewing’s Cookie Fest at the brewery. The cans will roll out at select retailers the following week.
“’Tis the season to re-release our highly anticipated Christmas Cookie Winter Ale and it looks like Sycamore Brewing might be on the naughty list this year,”Sycamore Brewing co-owner Sarah Taylor Brigham said in a statement. “This ale is our favorite way to lift beer-lovers’ spirits and provide a good laugh over the holiday season.”
The brew itself features Xmas Cookie and other barrel-aged beer and an imperial barrel-aged blonde stout rested for varying lengths of time in a variety of different Bourbon barrels including Basil Hayden and Maker’s Mark. Along with the sweet cookie and warm vanilla flavors of the regular Xmas Cookie, expect toasted oak, amplified vanilla, additional layers of caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, spice, and discernible bourbon spirit flavor.
While Sycamore may be on the naughty list, it is also part of our holiday beer list out today featuring unique beer releases around Charlotte — great for getting the family out of your house over the holidays.
Maybe just save the Sycamore cans for Cousin Eddie.
