15 breweries in Charlotte with non-alcoholic drinks on the menu
With over 60 breweries in the Charlotte region and counting, it’s safe to say that socializing with a craft brew in hand is a popular pastime in Charlotte. However, if you don’t drink, or are taking a break from alcohol, you may be wondering what your beverage options are at local breweries.
As a non-drinker who coaches people on changing their relationship to alcohol and runs a community for folks interested in socializing alcohol-free, I know that just because you’re not drinking, doesn’t mean you don’t go to breweries or appreciate a tasty, alcohol-free adult beverage.

Birdsong Brewing Co.
Location: 1016 North Davidson St. Charlotte, NC 28206
Neighborhood: NoDa
What to know: Birdsong typically has at least one kombucha on tap, as well as some soda options.
Blue Blaze Brewing
Location: 528 S. Turner Ave., Charlotte, NC 28208
Neighborhood: West End
What to know: Blue Blaze offers its non-alcoholic Zero Day Homemade Seltzer in three different flavors on draft. The seltzers are also sold to go in growlers or cans.
Devil’s Logic Brewing
Location: 1426 E. 4th St. Charlotte, NC 28204
Neighborhood: Elizabeth
What to know: Non-alcoholic options include rotating flavors from Tha Best Kombucha, Coke products and seltzer.
Heist Brewery
Location: 2909 North Davidson St. Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28205
Neighborhood: NoDa
What to know: Heist Brewery gets bonus points for its dedicated non-alcoholic drink section on the menu, which includes creative cocktails such as its “Berry Tenacious” with blackberry syrup, lemon juice and ginger ale, homemade ginger beer and root beer, cold brew iced coffee and more.
Hopfly Brewing

What to know: Another newcomer on the Charlotte brewery scene located in the old Unknown Brewery space, HopFly offers non-alcoholic beers from Untitled Art, as well as sparkling CBD waters and more.
Free Range Brewing
Location: 2320 N. Davidson St., Charlotte, NC 28205
Neighborhood: NoDa
What to know: Free Range Brewing may win the award for the largest variety of non-alcoholic drink options, including kombucha on tap and in cans, Old North Shrub soda on tap, DRAM a CBD sparkling water, homemade sparkling water on tap, Ollie Pop sodas and more.
Fonta Flora Brewery
Location: Optimist Hall 1115 N Brevard St., Charlotte, NC 28206

What to know: Fonta Flora offers its own brand of non-alcoholic sparkling water made with Appalachian well water in seasonal flavors such as grapefruit or maple bark.
Lenny Boy
Location: 3000 S. Tryon St. Charlotte, NC 28217
Neighborhood: South End
What to know: If you’re a kombucha lover, Lenny Boy should be at the top of your list. The brewery offers its own brand of kombucha in a variety of flavors, as well as rotating seasonal flavors on tap you can’t find in stores, such as the Happy Camper Kombucha with coconut, strawberry, vanilla and CBD.
Midnight Mulligan Brewing
Location: 2215 Thrift Rd Unit A, Charlotte, NC 28208

What to know: If you want to turn your non-alcoholic drinks quest into a brewery crawl, you can head to Midnight Mulligan’s, located next door to Summit Seltzery. This new brewery offers Walker Brothers NA Kombucha in a variety of flavors as well as San Pellegrino Sparkling Water and fountain drinks.
Petty Thieves Brewing Co.

What to know: Petty Thieves serves kombucha as well as CBD seltzers in cans, and it typically has at least one kombucha on tap.
Red Clay Ciderworks
Location: 245 Clanton Rd., Charlotte, NC 28217

What to know: Though technically a cidery and not a brewery, Red Clay Ciderworks serves a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, including non-alcoholic sparkling cider, apple cider, Pure Intentions nitro coffee, kombucha and more.
Resident Culture Brewing

What to know: Resident Culture offers rotating kombucha flavors from local brands such as UpDog Kombucha, and often has flavored sparkling water on tap as well.
Summit Seltzery

What to know: Summit Seltzery is Charlotte’s first Seltzery, as well as the first of its kind on the East Coast. In addition to its hard seltzers, Summit also serves non-alcoholic, house fermented seltzers made with purees to flavor and condition them.

What to know: Wooden Robot serves housemade non-alcoholic seltzer called Robo Chico that’s lightly hopped with Centennial hops, as well as Shanti Elixir’s Jun, a non-alcoholic fermented tea made with green tea and raw honey, at both of its locations.
