Here’s when you can eat at Velvet Taco’s new South End location in Charlotte
Get ready for 2 a.m. tacos, Charlotte. Adventurous taco restaurant Velvet Taco, already a huge hit at Optimist Hall and Park Road Shopping Center, will open its new South End location on May 30 — with late-night hours.
The South End location will be one of the taco chain’s largest restaurants so far, with interior space at 3,527 square feet (kitchen and dining room) and a 689 square foot patio, as well.
WHAT TO ORDER: Velvet Taco serves over 20 different types of tacos on its menu, and all are inspired by global cuisine. A Weekly Taco Feature (WTF) is always worth considering, too. Expect unusual (to taco) ingredients such as:
- basil leaves
- grilled salmon
- Kobe beef
- fried paneer
- crispy pepper jack corn grits and more.
SIDES: Don’t sleep on the restaurant’s sides, like:
- Kick Ass Margaritas
- Elote Corn
- Red Velvet Cake and more.
HOURS:
- Sunday - Wednesday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Thursday: 11 a.m.-midnight
- Friday - Saturday: 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
