Celebrate Charlotte Black Restaurant Week with deals at your favorite spots
Charlotte Black Restaurant Week is kicking off now, offering specials at participating locations with discounts of 25-50%.
The event — which runs Oct. 17-31 — is put together by the Black Business Owners Corp., known as BBOC.
“The Charlotte Community has been unwavering in our support of Greek, Mexican, Latino, LGBTQ, and other Beautiful Festivals and Events, and BBOC encourages the entire community to show love for the 6th Annual, Charlotte Black Restaurant Week! Come Get a Taste of an Array of Delicious Foods during our highly anticipated two-week long event,” the organization said.

- Oct 22, 1-3 p.m.: Herb-an Gardening workshop with the Black Business Owners Corp.’s Cathay Dawkins at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, $25, 551 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202. Tickets are required.
- Oct 28, 3-9 p.m. Black Food Truck Fridays at 1600 W Trade St., Charlotte, NC 28216
