A sandwich for only 40 cents? Showmars is making it happen in Charlotte for one day only

Finding a good deal on food is rare these days, but Showmars is in the mood to celebrate. For one day only at Charlotte locations — Tuesday, Nov. 1 — you’ll be able to buy one of its World Famous Fish Sandwiches for just 40 cents.

You heard that right: Under $1. Only four dimes. Or eight nickels.

The throwback price is in honor of Showmars’ 40th anniversary, as the restaurant first opened up in the Queen City back in 1982. (You’ll want to read this story to refresh yourself on this Charlotte’s Classic Eats spot known for Greek and Southern food before you go: You might assume this Charlotte restaurant is ‘just another chain.’ Here’s why it’s not.)

Here’s how to get the deal:

Show up at one of Charlotte’s many Showmars locations on Tuesday, Nov. 1 between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., and order the World Famous Fish Sandwich.
