Popular pop-up Beyond Amazing Donuts — aka B.A.D. — has found a new location in Montford Park and plans to open its counter-service doughnut shop there this summer.
“Coming Summer 2023! My goal for my establishment is to invoke the feelings of community, the human experience, and connection. Overall I want to take my customers on a journey with me, from the farm, to the table, and beyond,” owner Jasmine Macon said on Instagram.
“I’m super excited to continue this journey although turbulent at times you - my community have kept me encouraged, supported, and loved. I thank you with all my heart. This is my alternate beginning, let’s be BAD together.”
The new location sits across the street from Moosehead Grill, down the street from Angry Ale’s and is near Park Road Shopping Center, Macon confirmed to CharlotteFive on Tuesday afternoon.
Plans had originally called for Macon — a former Leah & Louise pastry chef — to open the shop along with a few other projects via Greg and Subrina Collier’s BayHaven Restaurant Group in Camp North End, where B.A.D.’s pop-up now operates at Hex Coffee on Saturday mornings. The developments were recently put on hold, however, citing the economic climate and construction costs.
