A Charlotte pizzeria is closing its doors at StoneCrest at the end of May
True Crafted Pizza, known for its oven baked and grilled pizzas since 2013, has announced it’s closing its doors at the end of the month.
“It’s with mixed emotions that we announce that at the end of May, True Pizza will be serving our guests for the final time at our Stonecrest location. Our lease is expiring and we will not be continuing at that location. Please come out and visit over the next few weeks; we would love to see you and thank you for your years of patronage,” the restaurant’s Instagram post said.
However, there is hope the pizzeria that serves pizza, sandwiches, soups and salads may reopen in the future in a new location. The post continued, “After our closure, please come visit @osterialucaclt to get the pizza that you have come to love over the past 10 years, or check us out around town with our Big Red Pizza Truck. Please know that we are on the lookout for a new True Crafted Pizza location, hopefully coming your way soon.”
Co-owner Todd Gallinek told CharlotteFive, “We had 10 years at StoneCrest, and it was a very nice time there.” He wants to thank the community for the support — and is now working to make sure his staff members have jobs moving forward.
“We’re just trying to do it the right way to protect the staff. We have a lot of good people with us and want to make sure they’re well taken care of,” he said.
