The new HBX Burgers is now open for lunch, so your work day just got a little more fun
Charlotte’s famous Hot Box Next Level Kitchen is expanding: HBX Burgers, which opened earlier in May at South End Eats as a ghost kitchen, is now serving lunch.
Go ahead and place your lunch order now via South End Eats for pickup or Door Dash for delivery.
You know Chef Michael Bowling’s cooking from his food truck, launched in 2013, and then his kitchen at Southern Strain Brewing in Concord. He was featured in CharlotteFive’s The Skillet series as well.
“For as long as I can remember, Burgers have been my go-to comfort foods. My POV on burgers is simple, deliver on flavor and fill bellies,” Bowling said before HBX Burgers opened.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Pub-style burgers with 1/3-pound beef patties on griddled brioche buns. A few examples:
- Feelin’ Blue Burger: 1/3 pound patty, caramelized onions, crumbled blue cheese, lettuce, tomato and roasted garlic aioli.
- All American Burger: 1/3 pound patty, cheddar, everything sauce, pickles, pickled onions, lettuce, tomato.
The Big South Burger: 1/3 pound patty, pimento cheese, crispy onions, BBQ sauce, bacon, pickles
Other menu items include wings, wraps, salads and sides.
