Now open in Charlotte: A new location with creative taco flavors, margaritas and queso

Condado Tacos, a national “build-your-own” taco spot franchise known for its creative tacos and drinks, is opening its second restaurant in South Charlotte today.

A Promenade at Providence spot will open its doors after opening its first location in 2022 in South End. The newest location will hold more than 150 people, and includes seating at the bar and outdoors.

For its grand opening celebration on Thursday, June 29, Condado will offer the first 100 guests in line a free taco every week for an entire year, plus a free taco with purchase that day and $5 signature margaritas all day long.

Artists who worked on the wall murals at the newest Condado Tacos location include Brian Holderman, Matt Spahr, Gina Elizabeth Franco, Joseph Dobson, Beka Butts, Swych, Brett Toukatly, Jason Parker, Overt and Osiris Rain.

COMMUNITY: Condado Tacos celebrates its Charlotte locations by working with local artists to paint the walls of each restaurant from floor to ceiling. Leaders at the new Promenade at Providence location gathered a team of 10 local artists to paint a fairy tale theme “Toonie Tales” — stories that center tacos and tequila.
