Bye bye, Blacow. A new all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant is taking its place in Charlotte.
Blacow Burger & Sushi Bar’s last Charlotte location — in South End — is now closed. And a new all-you-can-eat sushi concept is taking its place.
Blacow owner Calvin Ma is switching up the restaurant space to rebrand it as Sushi Hana. Renovations are under way, and you’ll be able to eat sushi again in the space in early August.
The move comes on the heels of a switch in concepts at Blacow’s former University City location, as well. In May, that restaurant was also rebranded as an all-you-can-seat sushi spot, Magic Sushi. The previous Blacow location in Fort Mill closed altogether and is now a Voo Doo Wing Co. under new ownership.
When the transformation to Sushi Hana is complete, customers can expect a full bar with craft cocktails and unlimited sushi. Separate menu items will also be available, with items including Japanese specialties and grilled lamb chops.
Prices for the all-you-can-eat sushi option will be $18.99 for lunch and $28.99 for dinner.
