Bagels and ... wurst? This Charlotte favorite serves customers the best of both worlds

Come with CharlotteFive to The Good Wurst Company, with three Charlotte locations serving burgers, fries, hot dogs and Reuben sandwiches. But also — breakfast (specifically, fresh-baked Montreal-style bagel sandwiches).

At The Good Wurst, its menu includes:

Its wursts (of course), such as:

  • A house-made chicken bratwurst, made with peppers, onions and Dijon mustard.

  • A chili cheese dog, made with a housemade frankfurter, chili and beer cheese sauce.
  • A Carolina dog, with chili, mustard, slaw and onions.

  • A hot Italian sausage dog, tri-colored peppers and onions.

Belgian-style frites, which include:

  • Reuben-style fries, with pastrami crumbles, beer cheese and green onions.
  • Belgian frites, with toppings like egg, wurst sauce, beer cheese, European mayo and more.

Want to start your day here? You’ll want to go for the Montreal-style bagels, which are baked on-site daily, feature a sourdough base and are a little dense and sweet. The restaurant calls its bagel sandwiches the “wurst way to start your day,” and we love a good pun to go with our morning coffee.

Breakfast sandwiches include:

  • Pastrami, egg and cheese sandwich (your choice of a roll or bagel).

  • Taylor pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich (your choice of a roll or bagel).

Or go straight for a bag of bagels to bring into the office. Choices include:

  • Plain, poppy, garlic, sesame or everything bagels.
