New Southern restaurant takes over space of uptown Charlotte steakhouse. What to expect.
A new Southern restaurant has joined the lineup of food options in uptown Charlotte — where one of the city’s most popular steakhouses used to be.
Months after reopening its luxurious cocktail bar, The Ritz-Carlton launched another new dining spot: The Fifth Fork. It is located on the lobby level of the hotel, formerly home to BLT Steak, which permanently closed at the end of 2023 after nearly 15 years.
“The Fifth Fork offers a true blend of Southern hospitality with a modern aesthetic vibe at The Ritz-Carlton,” Michael Matthews, director of sales and marketing at The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte, said in a statement. “The newly opened modern dining room and vibrant bar and lounge provides a welcome respite with a distinctive Southern charm.”
The new restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serves steaks, seafood and Southern-infused specialties like:
The Carolina Skillet
Fried green tomatoes
Ashe County habanero cheddar hollandaise
Outer Banks jumbo shrimp
Faroe Island salmon
The Fifth Fork is the fifth dining option at the Ritz-Carlton alongside Bar Cocoa, K Lounge, Hidden Wine and The Punch Room.
