Pizza, sandwiches and wings: Where to pre-order Super Bowl takeout in Charlotte

With all eyes on Super Bowl LVIII, it’s time to get your own game plan in place — for the food, of course.
Given the extra interest this year, your Charlotte crowd may be a bit larger for the Sunday, Feb. 11 game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas:
- Of course, there’s the standard crowd of folks tuning in to see the debut of the best commercials we’ll see all year and those who want to actually watch the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
- Taylor’s boyfriend is playing: There’s also the suspense of waiting to see if Taylor Swift will make it to Vegas in time from her Tokyo concert to watch Travis Kelce play in person.
- And don’t forget, Usher is taking the stage at halftime.
So don’t wait too long to place your takeout order — demand is high. (Feed NC’s Super Bowl packages are already sold out for this year, for example.) Here are a few Charlotte area restaurants that can help you out with feeding your Super Bowl crowd in 2024:

Duckworth’s is now taking preorders for wings to pick up on Super Bowl Sunday. Flavors come in plain, medium, hot, BBQ, sweet n’ bold gold, lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan or Mommoo’s Wings (fried then grilled with a vinegar-based sauce).
Duckworth’s also has everyday takeout specials that you can carryout for the occasion, as well:

Along with in-house drink specials for the Super Bowl, Hickory Tavern locations are offering pre-order party platters to go, with ordering by number of people you’re serving. For example, offerings include:
- Chips and queso for 10, 20 or 30 people
- Pretzel bites for 10, 20 or 30 people
- Combo platter with chip, salsa and queso, wings, chicken tenders, celery and dipping sauces for 10, 20 or 30 people.
You can also order wings or tenders in increments of 25.
Price: Varies. Chips and queso for 10 people is $30, while it’s $85 for 30 people. Pretzel bites are $50 for 10 people and $145 for 30 people. A combo platter for 10 people is $99, while it’s $297 for 30 people. Wings are $37 for 25 wings and $120 for 100 wings. Tenders are $40 for 25 and $125 for 100.

- Half Time platter: 10 sandwiches (Italian, American and chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers) plus 2 pounds of macaroni salad, potato salad or coleslaw.
