Indian-Nepalese restaurant plans early 2025 opening in uptown Charlotte
Krazy Curry has plans to spice up the new year by opening a second location in January in the One South office tower at Trade and Tryon streets in uptown Charlotte.
Krazy Curry — whose first location is at Pineville’s Terraces at Park Place shopping center — serves scratch-made Indian food such as vegetable samosas, paneer tikka masala, lamb vindaloo and a variety of curry dishes. Its butter chicken and garlic naan are among its most popular orders. Nepalese favorites include momo and noodle dishes.
Vegetarian and vegan dishes are available, too.
The restaurant will offer a lunch buffet from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., targeted toward employees with limited time to eat. After 2 p.m., the restaurant will switch to the à la carte menu. Beer and wine options can complement the meals, along with mango lassi and chai tea.
“Before we opened our restaurant in Pineville, we operated a takeout-only business in uptown near South End,” Krazy Curry owner Sabash Karki said in a news release. “When we closed that location to focus on the Pineville restaurant, we knew we wanted to return to uptown when the right opportunity came along.”
The 3,132 square feet space will take over the spot most recently occupied by Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill. Other One South food and beverage offerings include Eddie V’s, Tupelo Honey, Devon & Blakely, Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A.
Takeout and delivery service will be set up through its own app and website.
