  • Southern Living excluded Charlotte restaurants from its best Southern biscuits list
  • Only Biscuit Head in Asheville represented North Carolina in the 2025 list
  • Charlotte residents invited to submit favorite biscuit spots for future feature

When you think breakfast in the South, biscuits are absolutely coming to mind — and Charlotte has more mouth-watering options than we can list.

Biscuits and gravy. Biscuit sandwiches. Just a plain ‘ol biscuit with butter and jelly. There are no wrong choices.

But somehow, none of Charlotte’s restaurants made it onto Southern Living’s recent list of the best biscuits in the South. Only one Asheville restaurant — Biscuit Head — was left to represent all of North Carolina.

Even Charlotte-based Bojangles got snubbed, in favor of Popeyes. While we throw no shade to Popeyes, this stunning turn of events does send out a bit of a shockwave.

So we’ll put the question to you, foodie friends. Where are the best biscuits in Charlotte? We’ll compile all your answers and share them in a future story. (And if you have more than one to share, please do! Simply refresh the poll and submit another answer.)
