Concord dessert shop brings rolled ice cream, boba teas to new Charlotte spot
A Concord ice cream shop is bringing it scoops and boba teas to Charlotte’s University City neighborhood.
Classy Scoops Ice Cream Lounge will open the doors on a second location at the University City Boulevard Parking Deck on North Tryon Street on Saturday, Oct. 18, according to a recent Instagram post.
The creamery specializes in rolled ice cream desserts, boba tea and scooped ice cream flavors including chocolate, strawberry and orange sherbet, CharlotteFive previously reported. Customers can also sip on creamy milkshakes.
“We wanted a place where people of all ages could come together, enjoy sweet treats, and make lasting memories,” Classy Scoops said in a news release sent to CharlotteFive. “That dream became Classy Scoops, a family owned business built from passion, hard work and a shared love for ice cream.”
The dessert shop is “a true family affair” with a dedicated team of family members and employees serving scoops side by side. The sweet concept was inspired by the childhood nostalgia of visiting ice cream shops back in Detroit.
Now, Classy Scoops said it hopes to bring those same vibes to the Queen City. The shop’s grand opening is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
“Classy Scoops Ice Cream Lounge isn’t just a shop — it’s a celebration of family, flavor and togetherness,” the business said in the news release.
“We believe in building community, uplifting families, and showing that when love and passion guide your purpose, anything is possible.”
