Team behind Michelin-recommended sushi spots opens wine, sake bar. What to know
After months of renovations, a Charlotte sushi and wine bar is back open.
PrimeFish Cellar hosted a soft opening Wednesday, Nov. 5, at its Providence Park space, which is now a full-service sushi, sake and wine bar.
What was once a “one-stop shop” for premium wines and provisions closed for “major upgrades” over the summer, with plans to begin welcoming guests again by the fall, general manager Kendra Kong said at the time.
“The remodel is finally complete — and we couldn’t be happier with how it came together,” the business said in a recent Instagram post. “Thank you to everyone who joined us on the first night our soft opening and made it such a special evening.”
PrimeFish Cellar is a sister space to Prime Fish and Omakase Experience by Prime Fish, both of which were designated as Recommended restaurants in the inaugural Michelin Guide American South.
The coveted recognition means an eatery consistently offers high-quality meals.
At the new Prime Fish Cellar, customers can look forward to a curated selection of wines, sakes and beers. A5 wagyu nigiri and black truffle salmon are on the menu, as are traditional sushi rolls, soups and salads.
Guests can also preorder select fish from Japan, Kong told CharlotteFive.
