‘Express-style’ Mexican restaurant opens soon in South End Charlotte. Here’s when

A Mexican restaurant is expanding in Charlotte with a new carryout concept in South End.

Coco Express promises “fresh flavors, fast service, and the COCO experience you love” at its newest location at 3216 South Blvd. in South End, according to a recent Instagram post.

The grand opening is set for Friday, Dec. 5.

The new express-style eatery joins the Coco Mexican Restaurants family and marks the chain’s third location in the Charlotte metro. Coco’s celebrated one year at its Mint Hill restaurant back in June, and went on to open a second spot in South Charlotte in August.

At Coco Express, customers can expect more of the same classic Mexican fare, including carne asada, flautas and chicken fajitas, the restaurant’s website says.

Baja fish tacos are also on the menu, as are tortas, nachos and veggie burritos.
