A farm-to-table restaurant is open for sit-down service, takeout in South End
A new farm-to-table restaurant with a focus on local sourcing has opened in South End.
Naked Farmer is opening several locations in and outside of Florida, where it got its start. Among them is a spot in the former Maple Street Biscuit Company space on South Boulevard.
The doors opened Wednesday, Feb. 11, and now customers will find lunch and dinner options such as salads or Harvest Plates that come with a grain or greens, two sides and your choice of dressing, deemed “(un)dressings.” The opening date was previously set for Saturday, Feb. 7, but it was pushed back due to weather-related issues.
The South End restaurant offers dine-in service, as well as pickup, delivery and catering.
Menu options
Expect choices to change seasonally.
Its winter menu offers three salads: Seared Salmon, Harvest Chop and Roasted Chicken Waldorf.
Among the Harvest Plate options are Honey BBQ Chicken, Grass-Fed Steak and Blue Oyster Mushroom that pair with Harvest Sides such as maple-glazed carrots, tomato and cucumber salad, and green beans with crispy shallots.
“At its core, Naked Farmer exists to reconnect people with where their food comes from — and with each other,” Jordan Johnson, founder and CEO of Naked Farmer, said in a news release.
“South End is a neighborhood built on daily rhythms: walking to lunch, lingering over dinner, supporting local places that feel personal and intentional. That sense of community aligns perfectly with our mission, and we’re excited to grow roots here and become part of the fabric of South End.”
