Dunkin’ giving away nearly 2 million iced coffees. How to get one in Charlotte.

Dunkin’s “iconic” iced coffee took center stage in a nostalgic Super Bowl ad, and now Charlotteans can grab a free cup for themselves.

On Monday, Feb. 9, the coffee and doughnut chain will give away 1.995 million free iced coffees of any size at participating Dunkin’ shops in Charlotte and nationwide.

Customers can redeem the offer in the Dunkin’ app with code “GOODWILLDUNKIN.” No purchase is required.

The nationwide giveaway coincides with a ‘90s-era commercial that aired during Sunday’s big game, exploring the “accidental ‘invention’ of iced coffee” at a Dunkin’ in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dunkin’ said in a news release.

The fictional sitcom, dubbed’ Good Will Dunkin,’ starred Ben Affleck as “Will” with a cameo from seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. The minute-long ad also featured a lineup of ‘90s sitcom stars, including Jennifer Anniston, Matt LeBlanc, Jaleel White and more.

“The ’90s gave us iconic sitcoms, and Dunkin’ gave the world iced coffee,” Jill Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’, said in the release. “’Good Will Dunkin’ brings us back in time to imagine the moment those worlds collided. It’s a reminder that Dunkin’ has always been part of everyday culture, and proof that it always will be.”

The iced coffee giveaway is available at Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide.
