All-day breakfast spot opens second restaurant near Charlotte. ‘The wait is over’
A family-run restaurant serving all-day breakfast and lunch is adding a second location near Charlotte.
Wake Up & Eat will open the doors on its new Concord restaurant Monday, June 8, co-owner Elva Villatoro told CharlotteFive. Locals are invited to check out the new space Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5, ahead of next week’s grand opening.
“The wait is over!” the owners captioned a video shared on the restaurant’s social media pages. “Come see the new space, enjoy great food, and help us kick off this exciting new chapter.”
Wake Up & Eat also operates a spot in nearby Harrisburg. That location opened in 2022, after the restaurant outgrew its original spot in Charlotte’s University City area.
At the Concord restaurant, foodies can expect classic breakfast items, plus a wide variety of lunch options. Think: specialty omelettes, pancakes, waffles, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies and more.
You won’t find any mimosas on the menu, but Villatoro said they could be added in the future.
The family first teased the new location back in February, writing: “What started as a dream is now turning into something even bigger.”
“This restaurant has always been about family and because of your support, our family is growing.”
Wake Up & Eat Concord will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
