JJ’s Red Hots to open its first location in uptown
JJ’s Red Hots will open a location uptown next year, according to a report from the Observer’s Katherine Peralta.
It’ll be the hot dog joint’s first location in uptown and third in Charlotte. The details:
– JJ’s just signed a lease for a 1,500 square-foot space at 400 S. Tryon St.
– That location is across the street from Romare Bearden Park and is in the same building where Rhino Market will open its second location.
– New retail in that building should be open between the spring and summer of 2017, according to Trinity Partners, which owns the building.
– JJ’s Red Hots currently has locations in Dilworth and Ballantyne, and a food truck.
– And tonight JJ’s will serve at the Spectrum Center uptown for the first time during the Charlotte Hornets’ game against the Atlanta Hawks.
The only bummer is that this location wasn’t open when JJ’s was selling the C5 hot dogs. We would have been there for lunch every. Single. Day.
