You may not ever get to meet a Jonas Brother, but you could work at the restaurant started by their dad, Kevin Jonas Sr. And that’s oh so close (ooo-oo-oooo).

Nellie’s Southern Kitchen in downtown Belmont is looking to fill 75-100 front-of-house and back-of-house positions including hosts, bartenders, servers, cooks, baristas, cashiers, server assistants and dishwashers, according to this report from Katherine Peralta.

If you’re interested, you can visit the Stowe Building in Belmont (100 N. Main St.) 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays this week and next week to fill out an application and meet with the management team.

You can also download an application here and send it to

Restaurant experience is a plus, but not a requirement — meaning they’ll be considering people with different levels (levels, levels, levels) of experience.

Nellie’s will be in a historic, renovated building at 36 N. Main St. and will serve Southern-style family recipes including fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, shrimp and grits, and chicken and dumplings.

It’s named after the Jonas’ maternal grandmother, and the Jonas family claims it can trace its N.C. roots to the 1760s. About 60 relatives still live in the area.

If you feel like you’ve been hearing about this place for a while, it’s because the hiring process began last fall before the opening of the restaurant was delayed by construction and weather.

No word yet on an exact opening date, so if you don’t hear back immediately after you apply, don’t get paranoid.
