Every year on April 22, we gather to celebrate nature, environmental conservation and the planet we call home. What better way to acknowledge the special day than by getting out and attending one of these 11 Charlotte events for Earth-lovers of all ages?

Description: Gather with the rest of the Charlotte community for a sunset screening of Disney Pixar’s “Wall-E” at Ballantyne’s Backyard. Free parking is available. Outside food is not permitted at this event, but local food and beverage vendors will be available.
When: Ballantyne’s Backyard opens at 5 p.m., screening begins at sunset
Description: Join in on environmental fun with Anne Springs Close Greenway’s 3-day Earth Day event. At this event, live music will take place outdoors. Blair Braverman, an author and experienced dog-sledder, will be the featured guest for the Greenway Speaker Series at 6:30 p.m.. The Gateway Canteen will be serving a full menu.

Description: All ages are welcome to take part in both Indoor and outdoor activities that aim to “explore the relationships between humans, animals, plants and the rest of nature.”

Description: This Verde Tribe event will allow participants to bring their own plants to swap with other participants at at Salud Cerveceria. Proceeds from this event will go to local charity efforts and a free “re-potting” station will be provided.
