Just In: Bazal, a new art gallery and nightclub in Charlotte, finally has an opening date

The highly anticipated opening of Bazal Gallery and Nightclub at the AvidXchange Music Factory finally has a date.

Bazal, a concept by QC Social Lounge owner Noi Vong, will open its doors to the public on June 25.

Here’s a sneak preview of what guests can expect from the new Charlotte nightlife venue:

Atmosphere

  • Bazal is both an art gallery and a nightclub. On the top floor is a bright and modern gallery while on the lower level is a dark and alluring dance floor.

  • The gallery’s walls are adorned with original art from both local artists and artists from abroad.

  • The nightclub downstairs is dark, sleek and beautifully decorated. A complex and sophisticated lighting system fills the club with a customizable series of strobes and vibrant hues.

Music

  • The music in the upstairs gallery will be a deep, “sexy” house, according to Vong. It will be played by a DJ at a comfortable volume to allow patrons an atmosphere that fosters intimacy and socialization.

  • The music downstairs will mainly consist of Top 40 and Hip-Hop. Vong hopes to house both local and global DJs at Bazal.

Drinks

  • The gallery’s drinks menu will consist of top-shelf liquors, artful cocktails and unique spirits from around the world.

  • The drinks menu downstairs will cater more to the party crowd — it’s where you’ll be able to order vodka Red Bulls and shots of tequila.

Exclusivity

  • Bazal is poised to become a members-only club. Upon entry, guests will walk down a red carpet to the concierge, where staff can check their access. According to Bazal’s website, the venue is offering complimentary membership ahead of its grand opening.

  • Guests will be expected to abide by a strict, upscale dress code. Yes, that means no shorts and no flip-flops. Sorry, Adam Sandler.
