Many festivals that have been canceled or moved online due to the pandemic are back in full force.
Here’s your ultimate guide to upcoming 2022 summer festivals that have been announced so far. We’ll continue to update our guide as more are announced.
JUNE
EatBlkCharlotte Food & Culture Festival
Location: 835 Gesco St. Charlotte, NC 28208
Neighborhood: Wesley Heights
When: June 11
Cost: Free registration; optional donation to support the Eat Black Charlotte Mission.
What to know: The family-friendly food festival will feature food trucks, vendors, live music and more, and is a part of Eat Black Charlotte Week, a week of pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus from Charlotte area Black-owned restaurants, available from Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 12.
GREENWAY SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Location: Comporium Amphitheater, 291 Dairy Barn Ln., Fort Mill, SC 29715
Neighborhood: Fort Mill
When: June 9, 16, 23, 30
Cost: $6 per adult, $4 (ages 5-12), free for members and children four and under. $5 parking per vehicle.
What to know: The Anne Springs Close Greenway’s Summer Concert Series wraps up this month. The final few weeks of the series will feature live music from regional artists including Acoustic South (June 9); Town Mountain (June 16) on June 16; Sol Driven Train (June 23) and Next Level Band of Charlotte (June 30). Entry begins at 5 p.m. with food and beverages from the Gateway Canteen, available for purchase starting at 5:30 p.m. Music is from 6-9 p.m.
UNTAPPD BEER FESTIVAL
Location: American Legion Memorial Stadium, 1218-1238 Armory Dr., Charlotte, NC 28204
Neighborhood: Elizabeth
When: June 18
Cost: General Admission: $60, VIP Admission: $150
What to know: UNTAPPD, the world’s largest social networking platform for craft beer enthusiasts, brings the UNTAPPD Beer Festival back to Charlotte with unlimited brew samplings from over 100 breweries from around the world. The festival will also feature live music and food options for purchase. Session 1: VIP: 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; General Admission: 12-3 p.m. Session 2: VIP: 5:30-10 p.m.; General Admission: 6:30-10 p.m.
JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL OF THE CAROLINAS
Location: Plaza Midwood, 1215 Thomas Ave. Charlotte, NC 28205
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
When: June 16-19
Cost: Free
What to know: This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas, an annual festival celebrating the end of slavery with art, education, music and more focused on sharing the cultural heritage of enslaved Africans and their descendants.

CHARLOTTE TATTOO ARTS FESTIVAL
Location: Charlotte Convention Center, Hall C, 501 S. College St. Charlotte, NC 28202
Neighborhood: Uptown
When: June 17-19
Cost: Day pass: $20 in advance/$22 at the door; three-day pass: $40 in advance/$45 at the door. Free for children under 12. Purchase online.
What to know: Get tattoos from award-winning artists from all over the world, enjoy daily tattoo contests, live entertainment including burlesque, magicians, America’s Got Talent stars and more.
CHARLOTTE BLACK FILM FESTIVAL
Location: University Hilton on the Boardwalk, 8629 J M Keynes Dr, Charlotte, NC 28262

Cost: Various ticket offerings ranging from $10-$129
What to know: The Charlotte Black Film Festival will offer three days of virtual and in-person events, bringing together Carolina multicultural content producers, thought provokers and creative innovators. The festival’s mission is to be a voice and source of economic empowerment for independent filmmakers of color, as well as to heighten awareness and celebrate African American cinema.
DALLAS LAVENDER LANE “HIPPIE FESTIVAL” 2022
Location: Dallas Lavender Lane Farm, 937 Old Willis School Rd. Dallas, NC
Neighborhood: Dallas, NC
When: June 25-26
Cost: Saturday: $12.99 + $1.78 fee, Two-Day Pass: $19.99 + $2.13 fee
What to know: Experience Dallas Lavender Lane Farm in full bloom at this family-friendly festival. All weekend long, you’ll be able to enjoy multiple bands, DJs, jugglers, skywalkers, magic train rides, balloon artists, baby goats, shopping, a kid’s carousel and more.
CAMDEN ROAD STREET FESTIVAL
Location: South End, Camden Road
Neighborhood: South End
When: June 26
Cost: Free
What to know: Camden Road will transform into an outdoor living room called Camden Commons, where you can hang out, play games, listen to music, dance, work on a puzzle, etc.
JULY
WILD GOOSE FESTIVAL
Location: Van Hoy Farms & Campground, 742 Jericho Rd., Harmony, NC 28634
Neighborhood: Harmony, NC
When: July 14-17
Cost: Free for kids 12 and under, $89 for youth (12-17), $149 for students, $179 for Seniors (65+) and $319 for adults.
What to know: Rooted in a progressive Christian tradition where all are welcome, the four-day event offers camping, live music, speakers, conversations with artists, justice advocates and more.
AUGUST
JOEDANCE FILM FESTIVAL
Location: Charlotte Ballet Academy, 701 N. Tryon St. Charlotte, NC 28202
Neighborhood: Uptown
When: August 4-6, 2022
Cost: Single-day ticket: $65, Single day virtual ticket: $30.
What to know: The Annual Joedance Film Festival, now in its 13th year, is a multicultural festival incorporating the power of cinema and performing arts to raise funds for pediatric cancer research at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. This year, the festival will offer both in-person and virtual screening opportunities.
TACOS ‘N TAPS FESTIVAL
Location: Ballantyne’s Backyard, 11611 N. Community House Rd., Charlotte, NC 28277
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
When: August 20
Cost: VIP: $75; General Admission: $39; Taco-only Ticket: $30
What to know: Grab your complimentary souvenir glass to taste over 60 craft beers, mezcals, margaritas and tequilas along with over 15 taco trucks and over 30 different types of tacos, taquerias, dancing, Mariachi bands, hot pepper eating contests, lawn games and more.
