The countdown to the new year is on — and Charlotte is ready to party.

If you’re looking for a special way to close out the year, several restaurants, bars and local businesses around the city will be ringing in 2025 with celebratory dinners and events.

From multi-course meals to late night parties with live music, here’s a list of local events to check out on New Year’s Eve around Charlotte. (You’ll want to check back, too — we’ll update as more details become available.)

800° Woodfired Kitchen

Location: 6815 Phillips Pl Ct, Charlotte, NC 28210

Time: 6 p.m.

800° Woodfired Kitchen is hosting a special 3-course dinner for New Year’s Eve with a special performance from a strolling violinist.

Seatings will be available at the SouthPark restaurant at 6 and 8 p.m. and can be booked online at opentable.com.

The Ballantyne, A Luxury Collection Hotel

Location: 10000 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28277

Time: 9 p.m.

The Ballantyne is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration with a live DJ, a champagne toast, and the televised NYC ball drop. The luxury hotel will also be serving a five-course “Countdown” menu alongside a wine pairing.

There is no entry fee to guests for the NYE celebration, but the dinner costs $150 plus tax and gratuity per person. Reservations can be made online at theballantynehotel.com.

Caroline’s Oyster Bar

Location: JW Marriott Charlotte, 600 S College St, Charlotte, NC 28202

Time: 4-10:30 p.m.

“Crack open a new year” at Caroline’s Oyster Bar with complimentary champagne toasts with purchase of an entree, while supplies last.

The seafood and coastal cuisine restaurant has reservations in its dining room and heated patio, which can be booked online at opentable.com.

Catalina Kitchen and Bar

Location: 1942 E 7th St #106, Charlotte, NC 28204

Catalina Kitchen + Bar will be serving a three-course prix fixe meal this New Year’s Eve, featuring Maryland-style crab cakes, surf and turf and wild Alaskan halibut piccata entrees.

The dinner will be $70 per person. Reservations can be made online at exploretock.com/catalinakitchenandbar.

Catalú

Location: 135 New Bern Street Retail A, Charlotte, NC 28209

Catalú is holding New Years Eve dinner party with two seatings and slightly different offerings at each. The first seating from 6-8 p.m. offers unlimited tapas and a cava toast for $75. The second seating from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. will add on another cocktail, a live DJ, party favors, a cava toast at midnight and traditional Spanish good luck grapes for $95.

Chapter 6

Location: 2151 Hawkins St, Charlotte, NC 28203

“Start the next chapter” at Chapter 6 with a special New Year’s Eve dinner. The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant will have dinner seatings available from 5-11 p.m. with bar service until 1 a.m. featuring a DJ, snacks, sweets and complimentary champagne.

Church and Union

Location: 127 N Tryon St #8, Charlotte, NC 28202

Time: 10 p.m.

This New Year’s Eve, Church and Union will be having an open bar and buffet with a live DJ, midnight champagne toast and more.

Craft Tasting Room & Growler Shop

Location: 1320 S Church St #100, Charlotte, NC 28203

Time: 11 p.m. -1 a.m.

Craft Tasting Room is partying all day long to close out the year. The South End spot, which will be open until 1 a.m. with no cover charge, will have drink specials on beer, espresso martinis, disco ball shots and a complimentary midnight toast.

Coquette

Location: 400 S Tryon St #101 Charlotte NC 28202

Time: 6:-8:30 p.m. seatings

Coquette is offering a four-course NYE dinner with optional wine pairings that includes selections such as Cassoulet Toulessain, Poisson a la Bordelaise, Beouf Bourguignon and Bourguignon de Champignons for the main course.

The prepaid dinner is $125 per person or $195 per person if you add the wine pairings, with reservations available via OpenTable.

Dean’s Italian Steakhouse

Location: JW Marriott Charlotte, 600 S College St, Charlotte, NC 28202

Time: 5-10:45 p.m.

If you want to dine out on New Year’s Eve, Dean’s Italian Steakhouse will be open with chef curated dinner specials and champagne toasts.

Dilworth Tasting Room

Celebrate NYE with a menu crafted by chef Jonathan Schuler. Diners can use to pair the meal with signature cocktails by Alejandro Ibanez or handpicked wine selections.

Dōzo Japanese-American Kitchen

Location: 2200 Thrift Rd Suite 1, Charlotte, NC 28208

Time: 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Dōzo is celebrating New Year’s Eve with an A5 Wagyu tasting, featuring “10-courses showcasing the highest quality A5 Miyazaki Beef.” Seatings for the 90-minute meal, featuring complimentary champagne toasts, are available at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

El Puro Cuban Restaurant

Location: 5033 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28217

Time: 5 p.m.-11 p.m.

El Puro is hosting a Cuban-inspired New Year’s Eve celebration with a specialty cocktail menu, a three-course dinner, live music and dancing and a midnight toast with guests encouraged to wear their finest golden attire.

Ever Andalo

Location: 3116 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

Time: 5 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

You can close out 2024 with a special five-course Italian meal at Ever Andalo, including a “soul-warming pasta course, main entrees and a sweet finale for dessert.” Seatings are available beginning at 5 p.m. for $135 per person.

Forchetta

Location: 230 N College St, Charlotte, NC 28202

If you want a taste of Italian to close out the year, Forchetta is hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner. The upscale uptown restaurant will be serving a specially curated three-course meal, priced at $95+ per person, with a sparkling champagne toast at midnight.

The Gin Mill South End

Location: 1423 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28203

Time: 6 p.m.-1 a.m.

If you want to ring in the new year in South End, The Gin Mill will be opening its bar at 6 p.m. to party. The local bar is hosting a New Year’s Eve party with a DJ inside and rooftop karaoke with no charge.

Goldie’s

Location: 3601 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28209

Time: 7 p.m.

Goldie’s in South End is hosting a party to ring in the new year with live music, late night bites, a champagne toast, party swag and more.

Growlers Pourhouse

Location: 3120 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

Time: 5-8 p.m.

Growlers Pourhouse is starting the party a little early with a British-inspired buffet from 5-8 p.m. for $69/person. Afterward, the brewpub will open to the public with no cover charge.

Haberdish

Time: 5-9:30 p.m.

Haberish is wrapping up the year with a celebratory Southern-inspired five-course meal with deviled eggs, chicken fried miso pork belly, confit duck baklava, cornbread crème brûlée and more. Seatings are open beginning at 5 p.m. for $115 per person.

Haymaker

Location: 225 S Poplar St, Charlotte, NC 28202

Haymaker is going out of business with a bang, offering a special, three-course New Year’s dinner of fan-favorite and seasonal dishes. Reservations for the uptown restaurant can be made online at haymakerclt.com.

Hestia Rooftop

Location: Ballantyne Village, 14819 Ballantyne Village Way Charlotte, NC 28277

Time: 7 p.m.

Enjoy a night of “breathtaking skyline views, Asian fusion flavors and epic entertainment” at Hestia Rooftop’s New Year’s Eve celebration. The “NYE Euphoria: Fusion Feast & Countdown” will feature small bites, a live DJ with two ticket tiers to choose from.

Prices range from $150-$300 and can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.

Hoppin’ Charlotte

Location: 1402 Winnifred St, Charlotte, NC 28203

Time: 7 p.m.

Hoppin’ Charlotte is back with its 6th annual New Years Eve Party featuring drink specials, a live DJ and more. Only a limited amount of 350 tickets will be available, with early bird prices starting at $85.

La Belle Helene

Time: 10 p.m.

La Belle Helene is ringing in the new year with a top shelf open bar and late night buffet. There will also be a live DJ, live countdown of the ball drop with a champagne toast and more.

Light the Knights/CLT NYE

The 5th Annual Light the Knights Festival is happening all season long, including on New Year’s Eve. For the first time ever, CLT NYE will be ringing in the new year at Truist Field as part of the holiday festivities with a midnight fireworks display.

North Italia

This New Year’s Eve, North Italia will be offering a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring bites from the restaurant’s fall and winter menu, along with specialty drinks, desserts and some new dishes including house bolognese, lump crab and lobster bruschetta and the holiday panettone butter cake.

Novelty House

Time: 8 p.m.

Novelty House is ringing in the new year with a rooftop party with sparkling drinks and music by Radical Grove. Presale tickets are still available starting at $15 online at eventbrite.com.

Nuvole Rooftop Twentytwo

Location: 220 E. Trade St., Suite 2200, Charlotte, NC 28202

Time: 8 p.m.

If you want to ring in the new year with a view of the city skyline, you can check out Nuvole’s “Sweet Endings New Year’s Eve Party.” The uptown rooftop bar will have live entertainment, sweet treats, cocktails, chef-curated pre-fixed menu and more.

Puerta

Time: 10 p.m.

Puerta is throwing a New Year’s Eve Fiesta with an open bar, a live DJ, a taco station and a champagne toast at midnight.

Reigning Doughnuts

Location: 3120 N Davidson St STE 100, Charlotte, NC 28205

Time: 8 a.m-noon and 5-9 p.m.

In honor of New Year’s Eve, Reigning Doughnuts will be bringing back its champagne doughnuts. The specialty flavor will be available all day for early celebrations and pre-party sweets.

STK Charlotte

Location: 201 S College St, Charlotte, NC 28202

STK Charlotte will be open on New Year’s Eve, serving its exclusive Holiday Cheers Menu featuring wagyu from around the world, imperia caviar kaluga reserve, pan-seared hokkaido scallops and duck confit gnocchi.

SupperClub SouthEnd

Location: 3521 Dewitt Ln, Charlotte, NC 28217

Time: 9 p.m.

SupperClub SouthEnd and Always Sunni events are hosting a “Glamour & Glitz: Old Hollywood NYE Soirée” to ring in the new year. The party, which will have hors d’oeuvres and a prepaid drink package that features a selection of beer, wine and spirits, will have live DJ performances and a champagne toast at midnight.

Early bird tickets are $125 per person using code “EB” until Dec. 15, and will then go up to $150. Tickets can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.

Supperland

The Bar at Supperland will be serving a special six-course dinner with the option for extra curated wine pairings.

Vaulted Oak Brewing

Ahead of the bands New Year’s Eve concert at Bojangles Coliseum, Vaulted Oak Brewing is having an Avett Brothers’ themed pre-party with live music. If you want to continue the fun into the new year, the local brewery will be hosting its 4th annual chili cook-off on New Year’s Day at 2 p.m.

If you want to ring in the new year with a trip outside of the Queen City, here is a list of other events happening across North Carolina:

Franklin Ruby Drop

Location: Downtown Franklin

Time: 8 p.m.

The Town of Franklin is hosting its 11th annual New Year’s Eve Ruby Drop featuring the iconic 800-pound ruby with over 1,500 red lights inside. There will be one ruby drop at 9 p.m. and another at midnight.

The Horse Shoe Farm

Location: 155 Horse Shoe Farm Dr, Hendersonville, NC 28791

Time: 5 p.m.

The Horse Shoe Farm in Hendersonville’ is hosting a “Rockin’ NYE Dinner Party” at its Silo Cookhouse. The boutique hotel, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, will have live music, a la carte dining service, with the option to enjoy a curated prix fixe menu, a caviar bar, along with an exclusive after-party at its sister restaurant, Root & Bone.

Prices vary for dining options. Reservations can be made online at thehorseshoefarm.com.

The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa

Location: 290 Macon Ave, Asheville, NC 28804

Time: 9:45 p.m.

The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa is hosting a New Year’s Eve party inspired by Van Gogh: A Starry Night at Grove Park. The big event will have live entertainment, a silent DJ experience, and a champagne toast at midnight. There is also a 20% discount on the resort’s New Year’s Blue Ridge Buffest Dinner Package for those that want to stay overnight. Tickets can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.
