Charlotte’s Lovin’ Life Music Fest ‘will take a short pause’ in 2026

Although Lovin’ Life Music Fest dates had been already been announced for 2026, festival organizers made an abrupt turnaround on Friday, saying the uptown event would instead “take a short pause.”

“Thank you for making Lovin’ Life such an amazing success. Because of you, Lovin’ Life was named one of USA Today’s ‘10 Best New Festivals in the Country’ and together we brought national artists to Charlotte while creating a platform for local talent. Your support has been at the heart of it all,” an Instagram and website message said.

“That’s why it’s especially disappointing to share that, due to circumstances outside our control, Lovin’ Life will take a short pause in 2026 — Stay tuned for updates.”

Before the end of this year’s Lovin’ Life, organizers had announced the festival would return May 1-3, 2026.

Lovin’ Life Music Fest kicked off in uptown Charlotte on Memorial Day weekend 2024, showcasing national acts in a sold-out, three-day spectacular featuring Post Malone, Stevie Nicks and Noah Kahan.

The 2025 festival also brought in big names, including Gwen Stefani, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Weezer and Pitbull. However, organizers navigated with criticism of the eclectic lineup and a few challenges beyond their control, such as heavy rains and lightning mid-festival that led to a temporary evacuation of the grounds.
