What to expect: Named for a concept used in North Indian classical music meaning the space between two beats, this yoga studio creates a peaceful place to connect to life’s rhythm.

New gym openings and closings
2019 marked the final year of operation for Gold’s Gym and Charlotte Athletic Club Uptown. But Planet Fitness will soon join the ranks of the urban gyms, situated next to Chima. Anytime Fitness will also open an Oakhurst location in 2020.
Boutique gyms will also open this year, including Sculpthouse (est. January. 2020), — a megaformer gym — and a second location (Oakhurst est. February. 2020) for NoDa Yoga. Read the exclusive story here.
