Bank of America Stadium in uptown Charlotte will host a summer concert by four legendary rock bands, producer Live Nation announced Wednesday.

Motley Crue and Def Leppard, with Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, will perform at the stadium on July 11.

The concert will be the bands’ third stop on a tour of 22 U.S. stadiums, according to Live Nation.

Bank of America Stadium is the only Carolinas stop on the tour, which launches July 7 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at LiveNation.com.

The Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium vowed two months ago to bring more concerts to uptown Charlotte’s largest venue, The Charlotte Observer previously reported.

In September, the Panthers and Live Nation announced that Billy Joel will perform at the stadium on Saturday, April 18, 2020 — the first concert there in nearly eight years.

Last week, officials announced that country music star Garth Brooks will perform an in-the-round concert at the stadium on Saturday, May 2. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, via www.ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks.
