It’s another free-movie-pass bonanza!
The Charlotte Observer is giving away passes to special advance screenings for two upcoming films. Read on for details.
‘Straight Outta Compton’
The group NWA emerges from the streets of Compton, Calif., in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes hip-hop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood. Starring O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Ice Cube, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E. Rated R.
Fifty admit-two passes for the promo screening (7 p.m. Tuesday in south Charlotte) will be distributed in the main lobby of the Observer, 600 S. Tryon St., starting at 8 a.m. Friday. Limit one pass per person, while supplies last.
‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’
In the early 1960s, CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons. Rated PG-13.
