Outside it may be winter, but spring is in full bloom inside at the 55th annual Southern Spring Home & Garden Show. It opens Friday for two consecutive weekends of events at The Park Expo and Conference Center.
The show’s centerpiece is Belgard Gardens, an area made up of 22 landscapes created by professionals using more than 65,000 blooms. Gardening experts will be on hand to answer questions, and visitors to the Southern Living Plant Collection display can learn about the array of plants that grow well in the South.
Shopping is also a big draw, with more than 350 vendors selling items for the home, garden, organizing and entertaining.
The Interior Design Society of Charlotte is decorating six rooms to provide ideas and inspiration for projects. And the group is presenting its popular Ask the Designer exhibit where attendees can bring photos and design plans for a free session on space planning and color consultations.
