Hearing aid syncs to smartphone
Beltone First is a made-for-iPhone hearing aid that can be synced with an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Once the devices are paired, the wearer can use the hearing aid to talk on the phone or listen to music in stereo.
With the Beltone HearPlus app, the users can set preferences for volume, treble and bass. The app’s geo-tagging feature can be used to adjust the device to the acoustics of places visited frequently. The user could set preferences for home, work or other places. The app also has a locator to help when you can’t remember where you put your hearing aid. Prices for the hearing aids vary by state, from $3,000 to $5,000. www.beltonecarolina.com
