Hickory High School was evacuated Friday morning due to a bomb threat that was called into the school.

Hickory City Schools sent a message at 8:47 a.m. to families that said no specific details were included with the threat and the school was evacuated.

The school system called law enforcement to check the campus. The high school's campus was closed to parents and visitors.

The school system said at 10:35 a.m., law enforcement searched the campus and found no harmful items. The campus was reopened under normal conditions.
