Burlington convenience store robbed late Saturday. Police are searching for suspect.

Police in Burlington are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a convenience store late Saturday.

The robbery occurred at the Family Fare store at 2227 Maple Ave. around 10:30 p.m.

A suspect wearing a black ski mask and dressed in all black demanded money at gunpoint. Upon receiving the cash, the robber then ran from the store toward Chapel Hill Road, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-9-inch-tall man with a medium build who appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s.
