AT&T said Thursday it is hiring 40 workers in Charlotte.

Most positions will be part-time retail sales consultants and bilingual consultants, the telecommunications provider said in a statement. The company will host a hiring event Sept. 20 at 2359 Perimeter Pointe Pkwy, off West Tyvola Road, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Those interested in the jobs can find out more on AT&T’s website.

“More and more people in North Carolina are turning to AT&T, and we want them to have the best experience,” said Carlos Sanchez, state director of external affairs, in a statement.

In March, AT&T said it has completed 1,500 wireless network upgrades across the state, including 400 in the Charlotte area, to add greater speed and capacity to its local network.
