Charlotte logistics company adding 100 jobs as it moves its HQ to South End
Armstrong Transport Group has doubled its office space and will add 100 jobs with its move into Vantage South End towers in Charlotte, the company announced Thursday.
The third-party logistics company opened its new 27,000-square-foot headquarters on the fifth floor of the East Tower at 1120 S. Tryon St. Thursday, Armstrong Transport said in a news release. That’s about double its former space at 8615 Cliff Cameron Drive in University City.
Armstrong Transport said it also plans to hire more than 100 people next year.
Armstrong CEO Brian Mann said in a statement that the new office space will help retain employees and develop community relations, after working together remotely because of the pandemic.
Armstrong Transport joins other companies that have recently moved into Vantage South End, including online lender Lending Tree and Brightspeed, a broadband and telecommunications company.
Armstrong Transport’s new space features spaces for both collaboration and recreation that will “strengthen its recruiting pipeline,” the company said.
New office features
Armstrong Transport’s new headquarters features include:
▪ A wellness lounge
▪ Catering-equipped kitchen
▪ Game room featuring classic video games, pinball and tabletop shuffleboard.
▪ Outdoor furnished patio
