Charlotte’s Carolina Wholesale Group buys Virginia firm

Charlotte-based office products distributor Carolina Wholesale Group has acquired Digitek Computer Products, a Virginia-based company that provides imaging services and supplies.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a statement this week, Carolina Wholesale Group said the deal “strengthens relationships with key vendors, dealers, and other trade partners helping to accelerate the delivery of the expanded product portfolio to the combined customer base.”

The Digitek acquisition is the most recent of a string of similar deals for the Charlotte company. Last September, it bought an Arizona firm called Smoltz Distributing, for instance, and a few months before that it bought a copy center products distributor called Central Office Systems.

CWG is the parent company of Carolina Wholesale Office Machines and Arlington Industries. CWG has its headquarters and distribution center in Charlotte at 425 E. Arrowhead Drive.
