Office park in southeast Charlotte sold to private equity firm
A Missouri private equity firm purchased a decades-old business park in southeast Charlotte for $23.5 million, according to commercial real estate firm CBRE.
Quorum Business Park sits on about 19 acres at 7500 and 7520 E. Independence Blvd. Built between 1983 and 1989, the park has one multi-story building and seven single-story buildings leased to software, medical and other service users, CBRE said in a news release Tuesday. All told, there is 208,986 square feet of office space.
CBRE handled the sale for North Carolina-based capital advisory firm Nova Capital Partners. Bamboo Equity Partners out of Missouri bought the park.
Bamboo plans to update the business park with “vibrant spaces and amenities,” Alice C. Benner, principal and managing director at Bamboo, said in a statement to The Charlotte Observer. That includes adding a gym, cafeteria and connectivity to the nearby McAlpine Creek Greenway.
The office park sits about 9 miles southeast of uptown.
“Charlotte has seen phenomenal growth over the past decade,” Bamboo’s founder and managing principal Dan Dokovic said in a statement. “The main driver of this growth is the influx of an educated young workforce, the vibrant revitalization of older properties in the area and the business focus of the community. “
