In the last two years, masks have become an accessory to daily life. They’ve made it onto the checklist when people leave their home: phone, wallet, keys, mask. They’re in glove boxes, pockets and bags.
As schools and governments lift mask mandates lift in North Carolina, some may not be ready to give up wearing face coverings, while others may feel relieved.
