These Charlotte school districts no longer have mask mandates. Track them with this map
Charlotte-area families are again adjusting to changes in mask policies among local school districts.
In February, Gov. Roy Cooper called for school districts, as well as municipalities, across the state to “to end their mask mandates.” And Mecklenburg County lifted its mandate soon after, though individual businesses can establish their own requirements.
At the school level, the vast majority of public school districts in the region had already lifted their mask requirement or lifted it in the wake of state and local shifts. Still, others have continued to mandate masking, and policies could change again if COVID-19 cases spike.
