Firefighters battle southwest Charlotte blaze

Charlotte firefighters battled a structure blaze early Monday morning in southwest Charlotte, said Charlotte Fire Capt. Jackie Gilmore.

The fire was reported shortly before 5:43 a.m. in the 1000 block of Falls Creek Lane. When officials arrived, they saw smoke, said Gilmore.

It took 23 firefighters 10 minutes to control the blaze. No injuries were reported.
