Police: expect traffic delays during Obama’s visit

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said commuters should expect delays during President Obama’s visit to uptown Charlotte on Wednesday.

The president is scheduled to meet with online communities “BlogHer“ and “SheKnows” regarding issues among working families, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner. The town hall meeting, which is closed to the public, takes place at ImaginOn, a library and children’s theater at Seventh and Brevard Streets.

Commuters and uptown residents should expect delays in the center city and at the airport, police said.
