As part of a tax week blitz in support of his budget proposals, President Barack Obama will meet with working women Wednesday at Charlotte’s ImaginOn.

Obama will host an afternoon town hall meeting at the uptown children’s library. The event is for invited guests.

On Monday the president was scheduled to do interviews with regional TV stations about his tax cut proposals. On Tuesday, a White House spokeswoman said he’ll call on Congress to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.

In Charlotte, he’ll meet with working women to discuss his budget proposal.

The budget would raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations while cutting taxes for what the administration estimates are 44 million households.

Obama plans to take questions from BlogHer and SheKnows, websites geared toward women.

Obama arrives in Charlotte at 1:50 p.m. and leaves after 4 p.m.
