This flight to Charlotte had an unexpected passenger Wednesday. It’s a girl!
A baby was born on an American Airlines flight that landed in Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.
American Airlines spokeswoman Crystal Byrd said the baby girl was born on Flight 868 from Tampa, Florida.
The aircraft crew radioed to Medic, which had a team waiting for the plane when it landed, Byrd said.
The baby was born after the plane landed at about 1:45 p.m. — ahead of schedule, she said.
