Woman goes to check on boyfriend, finds him murdered at his Charlotte home, cops say
A woman checking on her boyfriend late Monday found him killed at his north Charlotte home, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
The discovery was made about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 6200 block of Elliott Drive, a neighborhood near the Sunset Hills Public Golf Course in northwest Charlotte.
Investigators have not released the name or age of the victim and did not said if they have a suspect.
“The victim’s girlfriend located him inside the residence and called 911,” police said in a press release.
“When the officers arrived they located the adult male victim who had been shot multiple times. The victim was pronounced deceased by MEDIC at the scene ... The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.”
Investigators say it is the latest example of deadly gun violence in Charlotte, which has had more than 100 killings this year.
